Not what you've asked, but perhaps you can help. I need to identify James Cosby who was executor, with widow Prudence (Walker) Walker, of will for William Walker d 1797 Knox Co., TN.

A bible record has been just found that simply lists "James Cosby," along with some children that could be those of Prudence b 1762 and Wm b 1717.

We had only about the child Charles that was listed because he was mentioned in the will. James Cosby was an atty, old friend or he could have married/bethrothed to (abt 1797) Ellinor/Eleanor Walker b 1783? If we could identify Jim Cosby's connection to these Walker's, the listing of children would unquestionably theirs.

Do you happen to know who Jim Cosby might be?, or his connections to Walker's? W. Ray Walker
