WILLIAMSVILLE - Carl Lee Cosand, 59, of Williamsville, formerly of Keller, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at St. John's Hospice.
He was born Sept. 22, 1947, in Altadena, Calif., the son of Paul and Lola Taylor Cosand. He married Dorothy Ham in 1972; they divorced. He married Karla Shutt Allison in 2000.
Mr. Cosand retired after 33 years from GTE/Verizon, where he was an installation and maintenance technician, central office technician and curriculum development specialist in work force development. He attended Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church and was a University of Illinois Extension Sangamon-Menard master gardener. He received the Outstanding Master Gardener Award in 2006.
Survivors: wife, Karla; daughter, Stacey (husband, Dennis) Maulden of Lewisville, Texas; two sons, Jeffrey (wife, Lisa) Cosand of Keller and Joshua (wife, Jessica) Cosand of Burleson, Texas; stepson, William Allison of Springfield; six grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (husband, Richard) Bolton of Moorhead, Minn., and Sharon Haga of Azusa, Calif.; brother, George (wife, Babs) Cosand of Whittier, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Mary Jessup officiating. Burial: Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
