The Washburn family is at page 140 of the 1900 census of Cambridge Township, Lenawee County, Michigan. There the wife appears as Alice F? L? S?, born in November 1863, age 37, born in Michigan, both parents born in New York.

I suggest that in your family records the middle initial became switched from "S" to "L", which is an easy change to be made in the script of the period. Because at page 418 of the 1870 census of Palmyra Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, there is the family of 338/349 George Corwin, 32, Farmer, born New York, with wife Cora Corwin, born in New York, oldest chld 11, daughter Sarah 7... That Sarah, 7, looks very much like your Alice with middle initial S rather than L, and no one else born in Michgan looks anything like your Sarah.

Quite likely - but this is something of a guess, Alice Sarah Corwin's father George was the George Corwin, 13, born in New York, who was living in the household of 772/789 Elnathan S[ears] Credit, enumerated at page 367 of the 1850 census of Leoni Township, Jackson County, Michigan. Hannah (Corwin) Credit ws George's sister, and she was born in New York. They were both children of Elias Corwin, born around 1788 in New York, and Mary King, born around 1797 in New Jersey.
