The person who first responded to your message mentioned a Samuel Corwin who had a daughter Susanna in 1864. I have been having a greate deal of trouble figuring him out, and perhaps if he can be figured out your Samuel can be figured out as well.

The Samuel I am speaking of was born around 1735, son of Samuel Coriwn and Phebe Dominey. He married on 17 February 1756/7 Hannah Conklin. Thereafter the records of death are silent for several years, but in 1759 a Samuel Corwin married Mary Dayton. I have assumed that Hannah Conklin died, probably in her first child birth, and that it was the same Samuel who married Mary Dayton. The next birth was Susannah, baptized in Southold Free Church on 8 July 1764, and Susannah was a name found in the Dayton family. Then followed Phebe (1767) and Mary (1769), Phebe being the name of Samuel's mother and both Phebe and Mary being names of his sisters.

It does not look to me, then, that he was the Samuel who married Sarah Wager. There was only one other Samuel Corwn of marriageable age at the time that concerns you. He was born in 1743, youngest son of Samuel Corwin and Experience Corwin (her maiden name as well as her married name). He was mentioned in his father's 1762 will. He died in 1769. It has been assumed that he did not marry. He would be a perfect candidate to be your Samuel.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you could tell me the source of your evidence for the marriage of a Samuel Corwin with Sarah Wager.
