Matthais is my 10th great-grandfather, and he was born as noted about 1595. His father was John Corwin, and his grandfather was Sir Henry Corwin of Workington, Cumberland, England, and his grandmother was Mary Fairfax (daughter of Sir Nicholas Fairfax of Gilling, Yorkshire). Mathais had at least two brothers, Thomas & George. The later is the one that is known as the Boston Corwin.
