The Corwin Geneology book has been around for quite sometime. But the biggest problem is the one that you noted on the ties to Matthais Corvin. This is complete fabrication, if you are from the Southold, Long Island branch of the Corwin's & Case's.
I also am from Matthias Corwin via John and Martha through to Icabod & Kaziah. The bad information is that the line is not related to Matthias Corvin. The good news is that the lineage extends in a well documented line to Malcolm III of Scotland via Gospatric, First Earl of Dunbar. Also from the wife the wife of Sir Henry Curwin, you tie via the Fairfax lineage to Edward III of England, and that opens a whole new arena, which ties to every Royal House in Europe, and a few others beside.
