dear sharon
While reading ur message I saw some similiarities w/ my family. Around 1900 or slightly before (1898) there is no really accurate date my grandfather Ed Corum, his sister Mary Alice Corum, and their brother James Hubert Corum were born. I understand they had relatives in Ohio or Ky but they didn't remember them too well and when I interviewed them on this they were fairly senile. They moved to Huntington, W.Va. and stayed there off and on for the remainder of their lives. Grandfather (ED) used to say his father came from somewhere in Ohio. What I never understood was, what previous family member inspired their first names.
I know for sure that grandfather (ED) father's brother (his uncle)or sister married into the Taylor family before 1900.I doubt this may shed any light on your family but it was worth a try.
good luck,
Ron Corum
