My husband's grandmother claimed that her mother and Gregorio Cortez's mother were cousins. She gave my husband a ring that was supposed to have belonged to Cortez. His grandmother's maiden name was Theresa Salazar, and her married name was Garcia. My husband doesn't remember his great-grandmother's name. My husband's mother was from Karnes City, so we figured it was possible they were related. Do you have any info. on Rosalia Lira Cortina's family?
