Any reccomendations on starting a surname project for the descenadnats of Petronila Moctezuma de Cortez?
She was born in 1550 in Aguascalientes, Mexico, the grand daughter of Conquistador Hernan Cortez de Munroy and great grand daughter of Emperor Moctezuma II, Sovereign of Mexico.
We, her and their descendants, are trying to fill in the story of her life and verify all aspects of our family tree.
We have made great strides using Genealogy.com as our base, in particular on the country of Mexico Forum.
I don't have any experience with DNA testing but I think it might be a profitable area to explore.
