Corso Family Genealogy Forum

Hi I am fairly new to tracing my family roots. Also, I have had little time lately, but hope to be able to work on it this summer when school is out (I am a teacher). My family and I planned a reunion and this got me interested in my ancestors. Right now, I can only go back to my great-grandfather who was named Mariano Corso. His family had a butcher shop in Termini. I don't know the names of his brothers or sisters or parents, but I am trying to find out. Mariano owned an olive orchard near Caccamo, Italy. He married Giorgia Viso. They had seven children: Salvatore, Mariano, Leonarda, Vincenza, Maria, Rosina, and one who died young whose name I don't know. Mariano Sr. died young and Giorgia sold the olive grove and took the entire family to America. They settled in Philadelphia around 1908. The reunion is the last weekend in May and I will try to find out the names of my great-great-grandfather and his family members. I'll E-mail when I have more information. Annalee
