Corso Family
Hi
I am fairly new to tracing my family roots. Also, I have had little time lately, but hope to be able to work on it this summer when school is out (I am a teacher). My familyand Iplanned a reunion and this got me interested in my ancestors. Right now, I can only go back to my great-grandfather who was named Mariano Corso. His family had a butcher shop in Termini. I don't know the names of his brothers or sisters or parents, but I am trying to find out. Mariano owned an olive orchard near Caccamo, Italy. He married Giorgia Viso. They had seven children: Salvatore, Mariano, Leonarda, Vincenza, Maria,Rosina, and one who died young whose name I don't know. Mariano Sr. diedyoung and Giorgia sold the olive grove and took the entire family to America. They settled in Philadelphiaaround 1908. The reunion is the last weekend in May and I will try to find out the names of my great-great-grandfather and his family members. I'll E-mail when I have more information.
