William,

I know that William and Margaret Corry produced 6 children:

- Alexander CORRY
- Nicholas CORRY
- Margaret CORRY
- Robert CORRY
- Jane CORRY
- William CORRY

My records show that your Jane CORRY was married to Andrew McCOMBS, who died between 1818 and 1823. I say that because his will is dated 18 April 1818 and was proved in Greene County, GA, during the November Term, 1823. (He probably died in 1823.)

Andrew McCOMBS and Jane CORRY produced one known daughter, Mary McCOMBS. She was born ca. 1790 and d. after 1840 in Greene Co., GA. She was married twice:

1st: Samuel ROSS - married 23 Feb. 1815 in Greene County, GA.
2nd: Nelson ANDREWS (b. ca. 1790 in SC) - married ca. 1821, probably in Monroe County, AL.

Nelson ANDREWS was the administrator of Samuel Ross' estate.

Apparently Samuel and Jane had no children. She and Nelson had at least one child, Andrew S. ANDREWS.

The source of this information is as follows:

Ezell, Mildred Seab. William Corry and His Descendants. Athens, GA: Mildred Seab Ezell. 1990.

You can order a copy of the handsome, well-researched book from Claud Corry, 928 Covered Bridge Road, Covington, GA 30209.

Good luck!

George G. Morgan
