Kathleen Corrin

Can anybody help me in my search for my grandmother Kathleen or Catherine Corrin ?.

Her obituary advises that she was born in Port Erin IOM circa 1888 ( she died age 80 in Newton - Le Willows England in August 1968 ).

I can not find any Kathleen Corrin born in Port Erin in any of the cencuses, including 1911. Some of the cencus, change her first name to catherine, which is confusing.

One possibility that I have found in the 1911 cencus is for a Katherine Agnes Corrin born in Union Mills IOM. The Family Search Web Site, names her as Catherine Agnes Corrin born in Ballafreer IOM. Again, this is confusing me.

Can anybody advise how I may be able to further my search, as I appear to have hit a brick wall.

My grandmother married Thomas Frederick Purcell, but I can not find any record of their Marriage Certificate, Thomas was born in Derby, England circa 1877, according to his obituary, and as with my grandmother I can not find a cast iron record of his birth.

Kind regards

Brenda McWilliams ( nee Purcell ).
