Sorry it took so long to reply, life got in my way of genealogy research. My grandfather, Edward Stanton Corrie who married Arvada Pearl Price, was the son of John James Corrie and Amy Brown Corrie. My father is Donald Woodrow Corrie(d1997). As for the Horton family, my father has always said that he was related to Johnny Horton, the famous country singer of the 50's and 60's whose many songs include "North to Alaska", the theme song to the movie starring John Wayne. However, I have not been able to link him to the Horton clan of my ancestors. Also from the Brown family name, my father claimed he was also related to John Brown, the infamous abolitionist of the Civil War era but I have not been able to make that link to the Brown's of my family tree either. Any information in regards to these two men would be appreciated.
