Does anyone have any more information on the marriage(s) of Thomas Newton Corrie, b. 1846 in Lawrence Co., IL, son of Thomas Corrie (b. 12 Feb 1814, Scotland) and Olivia (Olly) Moore (b. 11 Sep 1812 in TN)?
My uncle, Leland Brian, is part of the Corrie, Milligan, Schrader, et al, line and according to Imogene Brian Thrapp and my research, Thomas Newton Corrie married Nancy M. Edmonson 2 Mar 1871 in Lawrence Co., IL. The Moore line indicates that Thomas N. Corrie married Mary Ann Moore also, 10 Nov 1867, Lawrence Co., IL, and she is the daughter of Anna Moore and William Moore. I have found both marriages in the on-line Illinois Statewide Marriage Index 1763-1900. In 1870, Thomas is 24yo and enumerated with his parents Thomas and Olivia.
Did Thomas Newton divorce Mary Ann Moore, or did she die and he re-married to Nancy Edmonson? If Mary Ann did die or they divorced apparently they did not have any children. Thomas and Nancy had four children, Edgar M. b. 1872, Roy A. b. 1874, Ezra b. 1876, and Grace, b. 1879.
If anyone can clarify my query I sure would appreciate it. Thank you.
