Hello Evelyn,
I am researching Sarah BIRKBY born c1865 in Sidney Twp. who married James SMITH 3/11/1883 in Sidney.
Jame's parents are George A. SMITH born c1816 in Germany/Prussia and married Serena EVANS. Serena was born c1823 in Indiana. They lived in Fremont Co from 1853-1900's. Their children, born in Iowa, are:
1. Charles b 1850 IN m Jennie ?
2. Ella b 1851 IN m Granville REEVES
3. George H. b 1853 IA m Susan ?
4. John Y b 1855 IA m Flore BIRKBY
5. James T. b 1857 IA m Sarah Elizabeth BIRKBY
6. Richard D. b 1859 IA
7. Martha/Mattie b 1863 IA m ? CHRISTY
8. Walter b 1866 IA
My family line continues with #5 James and Sarah (BIRKBY) Smith's daughter Murl Frances, born c1895, who married Harold Franklin PIERCE c1923.
