Hi Margo there are quite a few John corrie's that i have in my tree i would need som info on the John corrie you are looking for the Corey's are a family from Rhode Island thought to have originated from Devon or Cornwall England they deem to have the same coat of arms as the family of Corrie's from Dumfries and Galloway there being three main families all descendents of Hugh De Corrie 1195,there was a family settled in St Marys County new England and some of the family moved down to Ohio,then again some of them moved down to Illionis to wher there cousins were,there were three brothers who had settled there in 1820's
