I am entering my 22nd year of doing VAN DER COOK family genealogy. The Landis Jacob Correll I am trying to place was born circa 1803. He is supposed to have married Mary Jane VanDerCook (1827-1822) circa 1845. They were allegedly the parents of Erasmus Michael Correll. The proof may be lurking in the 1860 US Census for Bath Co., KY. Take a look and let me know what you think. (Unfortunately, I don't have access to this census at home...just the index.) Page Number: 41 Family ID Number: 296 Film Number: 803335 Digital GS Number: 4230634 Image Number: 00045 NARA Publication Number: M653 I have found at least one census reference to the Landis J. Correll (1822-?) you are referring to and nothing matches up. It is possible that Landis (1822) may have been a junior...the offspring of an earlier marriage...or else a nephew to Landis (1803).
