My great grandfather John Correll was born in New York harbor on 17 June, 1856, as the boat from europe was docking. His parents were John Correll and Margaret Fitzinger, and his grandfather was Adam Correll. The family came from Alsace-Lorraine, I believe. Margaret Fitzinger is buried in Foster Indiana. Great grandfather John lived in Danville, IL. If anyone can tell me anything about the family prior to 1856, I would greatly appreciate. Thankyou.
