William David McWilliams was born in Christchurch, New Zealand on 22 August 1884. This may make him a first generation New Zealander, with his parents born in Cornwall. Apparently there was a brother named Sam, and there was a Mabel, relationship unknown.
Does anybody know of a Cornish McWilliams family who emigrated to either New Zealand or Australia prior to 1884? Any details would be much appreciated.
