I am not sure if there is any connection with your Cornwall family ancestors, but mine includes, a Richard Cornwall from Ireland, born c1815, emigrated to Ottawa with wife Catherine O'Halloran,(both buried here) and sons Richard, James, John. The 1851 Census shows Catherine as widow age 55, sons unmarried in their 20's. One son or grandson emigrated to Chicago, and desdendants have spread through that area and to Califoria. The other branches remained in Ottawa. I am wondering if an earlier branch of Cornwalls (Irish Catholic) came earlier perhaps to U. S. and where the Irish-Catholic branch originated from in Ireland.
