Not yet been able to establish a diect link between Oldbury and Slimbridge lines, have you anymore info on Thomas, his Fathers name, date of birth, any brothers or sisters, etc. In 1881 Eleanor Jane Hurd aged 33 a widow was living with her 4 children at Yew Tree House, Slimbridge, they were, William H Hurd aged 14, Eleanor J Hurd aged 9, Charlotte K Hurd aged 7, George F Hurd aged 6, all born in Slimbridge. Emanuel Hobbs was living in Cambridge (next village to Slimbridge), aged 23 unmarried, next door to his brother Caleb aged 28 (both brothers born in Alderton, Wilts) his wife Susan aged 27,chilren William Hobbs aged 5, Elizabeth aged 3 and Rosina aged 4 months. Also in Cambridge Henry Thomas Cornock aged 56 wife Ann aged 50 (Hannah Lord). Next door was James Cornock aged 27 wife Susannah aged 30 their daughter Ethel A J Cornock aged 10 months, William Cornock brother aged 21 married; Harriet Cornock sister aged 29 married; Victor R Cornock aged 42 married, lodger; Cornock Malpass nephew aged 1year born at Frampton. A William Cornock born in Oldbury 1741 whose eldest son, James Cook Cornock became Lord Cornock of Gossington (Slimbridge). There is a current Lord Cornock.
