She has got me stumped!
My Greatgrandmother Anderson was supposedly born Charlotte Corning. Info varies. I have seen documents that show she was born in 1862 in California or 1862 in Oregon. 1900 Census for Reynolds Co. Mo. show she was born in 1880 in Oregon and married in 1890, hmmmmmm.... 1920 census for Vernon Co. MO. shows she was born in 1870 in Oregon. 1910 Census, I can't remember either Vernon Co. or Henry Co. MO. show she was born in 1880 in California. Her obituary shows she was born in 1862. Her children as grown-ups on the census seem to be in 2 camps, some say mom was born in OR, some say CA. She died in 1934 in Kansas City, MO. She resided at the time in Nevada, Vernon, MO. Missouri can't seem to find a death certificate for her, so I have had no luck in almost 20 years trying to find where she came from and who her parents were.
The only other lead that I have is a family story that she traveled the Oregon trail and that her mother died during the trip...
