My ggrandmother was born in 1844. Her brother, born in 1851, was listed as the son of Laughlin Moran and Ellen Cornforth in his baptismal records. This took place in Osgoode near Ottawa, Ontario. I have no idea where they were from previously or where my ggrandmother was born. Does any one have any info?
Incidentally, the only other record I can find for a Laughlin Moran shows him preparing to immigrate from Wexford, Ireland in 1817 with 9 people in his family. I am guessing that this may be this man's son. I have had no luck in finding either family in records.
Any Cornforth locations around this time would be most welcome.
