I would also like to find something that would let me know for sure. I went to eastern Kentucky this past weekend and visited the cemetery where William is buried and the military footstone says "William D. Cornett." The original tombstone doesn't specify. I have pictures of both if you're interested, just e-mail me and I can send them to you.
