My family was from Yorkshire.I don't know too much about my father's side of the family, the Corner's, as my father died when I was a young child, and communication with his family ceased.I understand my grandfather was George William Corner born around Hoyland near Barnsley, probably before 1900.He and my grandfather separated at some point and the story I've been told is that he was killed during the Sheffield Blitz, but I haven't found his name on the list of civilian casualties posted on the web.
