Have you checked the (Canadian) national archives website? Your Hunter joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force in September, 1915. He is listed as a miner, married to Jennie, and living in Vancouver.
His attestation paper is reproduced and includes some aspects of a physical description.
I discovered this when I researched some of my own Corner relatives.
The address (in case you don't know it) is www.archives.ca
Click on archivia net, then the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and enter the Corner surname and submit query. You may even find other relatives of yours there. You'll get a screen with tiny forms; when you click on these (front or back) you get the attestation paper and its particulars.
