I know that many Cornell researchers have corresponded with and benefitted from the research of Betty Irene Bauer McClanahan (my second cousin). She passed away earlier this week at the age of 83 in Kirksville, MO. I have not yet been able to obtain a copy of her obituary. She started researching genealogy many years ago, before computers and the internet--filling out those Family Group Sheets painstakingly by hand and typing family trees on a regular typewriter.
