Searching for the parents of William B. Cornelius, b. abt 1820, m. Mahala Longworth 1844 in Lancaster Co., VA. The family is enumerated in the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 U.S. census records as residing in (White Stone District)Lancaster county.

William & Mahala had 4 children:
1. Frances b. abt 1845 - probably had son, Eppa Augustus Cornelius, prior to her marriage to Joseph Dow.
2. Charles H. b. abt 1846
3. Emily A. b. abt 1848
4. William J. b. abt 1854

Eppa Augustus Cornelius moved to Beaufort Co., NC between 1880-1898.
