My husband's middle name is Corneille. It was his mother's maiden name. She was the fifth of six children born to James Edward Corneille in Riverdale, New York in 1921. Her father was a stock broker by trade and a classically schooled musician with a degree in pedagogy. Having lost his job in the stock market crash of 1929, his sole means of support during the Depression was as an organist/choir master at an Episcopal church in New Jersey.

If I learn more, I'll add it in the future. Siblings names are Alice Cardozo (still living in Washington, DC), Walter (deceased), Jim (was a merchant sea captain - deceased), Virginia Wade (deceased), Nancy Upchurch (still living in Arizona), and Richard “Dick” (deceased).
