Corn's of an Indian decendent??Kansas

I have a Millie Cathern Corn in my tree but it has been said down the line that she was a full blooded Indian, hense the name Corn. She married a Smith and settled in Illinois. Her daughter remembered going to Kansas in a covered wagon to see relatives there. Indians would bring friuts and vegatables to the table but she was young then and this is all she could remember. I have searched the genforum and could find out nothing so any help would be great.
