Gary, you are right about Samuel Corn, brother of Jesse, John Peter and George having very little information. Jesse and John Peter's pension applications both state that he also was in Rev. War but I can't find any records of that. Another researcher sent for his records and there were none. His daughter Elizabeth (Adams) buriel info, given I guesss by husband, Joshua Adams says Elizabeth as born in TN. She was born in 1788. Samuel was in Henry Co in 1789, I think and bought land, took possesion in 1791. I have found a Samuel Corn in 1899 early tax lists in Blount Co., TN but I can't find anything else, showing he was there. I am assuming ( a dangerous thing to do) that he may have gone to TN for a few years, got tired of the harder, more dangerous way of life and took his family back to Patrick Co. He seems to be the only one of the 4 brothers who stayed in Patrick Co. He's there in 1820. I have found no record of his death. Brother George seems to have left between 1810 and 1820, and apparently went to Ohio. Some of his children MAY have stayed and I've wondered if the Samuel Corn Jr, who married Susannah Slaughter could've been a son of George, possibly? Stands to reason George had a Samuel too, the other 3 did. I had assumed (that word again) that Samuel Jr was Samuel Sr's son, but I've found out that in those days, Sr. and Jr. didn't mean same as today. It distinquished older from younger person of same name, not necessarily father and son. Sould be uncle and nephew or even neighbors of different age with same name. I go to SLC in 2 weeks and intend to try and find out more about if George , from Henry/Patrick Co. VA) went to Ohio. I'm "pretty sure"that Samuel Sr. in Patrick Co is my Samuel's (in MO) father, but at this point, I'm not even ruling out the mailman!!
