1. Robert4 Corn (Peter3, John Peter2, Mathew1 Korn/Corn) was born February 21, 1822 in Henderson County, North Carolina, and died September 04, 1914 in Henderson County, North Carolina. He married Jane Lorena Cagle December 05, 1852 in Henderson County, North Carolina, daughter of William Cagle and Anthret Justice.

Robert Corn was born 21 February 1822 and died age 92 years, 7 months and two days, and was indeed one of the many Corns that spanned almost one full century; date of death being 4 September 1914. He married 5 December 1852 Miss Jane L. Cagle (b. 10 May 1833, d. 29 June 1911, dau. of William T. and Anthroit (Thomas) Cagle .
The lands of the parents of the younfg folks, above were in shouting distance . . . perhaps one could see from one high point across to the other; at least it establishes the early arrival of these two pioneer families in the early formation of the county, and thus they have been honored even unto this day with the name of these families (the referance here is to Corn Mountain and Cagle Mountain, Henderson Co.
