This book apparently is full of mistakes--really sloppy work done by the author, supposedly a genealogist. The members of the family who hired her certainly didn't get their money's worth. As I (and others) have posted in the Forum, Dorsey has my ancestor, Samuel Corn, who went to MO as son of Jesse and Nancy. He is son of Samuel Sr. and Elizabeth,b. 1790,is married to Mary Slaughter, died 1854 Jackson Co. MO. Jesse's son Samuel ,b. 1792 married Permelia Burnett and died Franklin Co TN in 1851. Susannah Slaughter was 2nd wife of Samuel Corn Sr.
Maybe if we all post Dorsey's errors,as we know them, new researchers won't get so confused. Its sad to know that these errors are being perpetuated through the years. No telling how many others are in that book.
