Barbara,

This is from "The Corn Families of the USA" by Clyde Everett Corn. It would appear, based on this, that they moved to Henderson Co about 1800. How reliable this is I couldn't say, but it's what I have.

In 1794, John Peter Corn and his wife Hannah Elizabeth Parr Corn moved from Virginia with their family of 6 or 7 children to Surry County, NC. Later they moved to Wilkes County, NC, where they lived for perhaps 6 years. From there they moved to what is now Henderson County, NC. They bought a tract of land in the Green River section below Flat Rock, near the present Tuxedo, where they lived for many years, and where the younger children were born.
