Hello Jean, I do know that John Peter (my ancestor) and Jesse, his brother, enlisted in the Revolutionary War at the same time for a term of 2 years. They enlisted for service in Washington's Army on Feb. 8, 1776. They went from Glouster Courthouse, Va. marched to Pennsylvania and were in the skirmish near Philadelphia with British Guard, in which the British were defeated. There were two other brothers, George and Samuel. I know nothing about these two brothers. John Peter's son, Adam, is my direct line and of whom I have information. Adam had a son, Jesse, born in 1825. I hope this helps a little.
