Raymond,
The Bible was published in 1869, but there a John Dennis born October 12, 1788. The ink is really faded and hard to read. I bought this on Ebay a few years ago. They were selling it for the pictures in it. And the people bidding had gotten a hold of me after I got it and said if I decided to sell it, they would buy it to use the pictures out of it. I couldn't stand the thought of someone cutting it up and yet most likely there was family out there that would love to have it. Most of the dates are mid to late 1800's, no places are listed, so I can't help you there. There is a James Dennis born in 1812. Also listed is marriages with Herrington, Close and Hardsock from the Dennis side. It is a big Bible, about 7-1/2 x 12". Don't forget, the Corn as middle name could also be Mary's mother's maiden name. I have seen that in my family. I havel also seen that it was her last name also. That could be the way the children remembered what the family names were also. I just keep hoping I find the family.
