All, I've only recently (in the past year or so) started to seriously research my roots. I continue to be amazed at the depth of the Corn family history. My lineage: I am Jim Lee Corn. My parents are Lee Roy Corn (b. 1939) and Patricia Ann (Edwards) Corn. My father's parents were Leonard L. Corn (b. 1918) and Irene Barnett. My grandfather’s parents were Leonard Lee Corn (b.1894) and Ollie (Foster) Corn. (note: Ollie was his first wife. His second wife was Dorothy (Lochaby) Corn) He was the youngest of John Heatherly Corn (b. 1843) and Sara Elizabeth (Dillard) Corn. John Heatherly Corn was the middle child of John Corn (b. 1813) and Mary Wade (Carter) Corn. John Corn was the eldest son of Adam Corn and Hanna (Heatherly) Corn (b. 1783). Adam was the eldest of the 15(!) children of John Peter (b. 1752) and Hanna Elizabeth (Parr) Corn. John Peter Corn, was the 3rd of the 5 children of Matthew and Molly Corn, who (as best I can tell) immigrated from Europe, probably Germany, although my Grandfather always insisted that Matthew was from “just across the border in France”. The Corn family history is amazing…. and I’d love to know more. By the way, continuing the Corn lineage through me is my son, Curtis Lee Corn, and the youngest Corn (that I know, anyway), my beautiful granddaughter, Addison Elizabeth. The Corn family history is interesting, to say the least…. and I’d love to know more. Does anyone have any family information further back than Matthew and Molly?
