For some documentation on the J. P. Corn from Lumpkin County, GA (I think sometimes he is referred to as J. P. Corn II), I found this on the Rootsweb message board for Lumpkin County (http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.states.georgia.counties.lumpkin). (Note number 36 below):
