Hi, John. Yes he was the son of Noah Parr Corn. His wife
was Letheanna Galloway Corn. Yes, she filed for the pension. Letheanna died July 3, 1918. She lived with her
son, William N. Corn and his wife prior to her death. Her
daughter Sarah Capps lived close by and helped care for her.

Fort Rice State Historic Site -- Located eight-tenths of a mile southeast of the town of Fort Rice, this site preserves remaining vestiges of a military post established in 1864 by General Alfred Sully to supply his campaign into western Dakota and to protect traffic on the Missouri River, a function the fort continued until replaced by Fort Yates in 1877. There is a marker on the site.

It appears from the "list of casualties" accompanying the "monthly report of sick and wounded," of the 1st Reg't U.S. Vols., for the month of March, 1865, that Priv. Ezeliel Corns, Co. H, of the Regiment, died March 6, '65, at Reg't Hospl., of scurvy.
The station of the Regiment at the end of that month was Ft. Rice, D.T.

I also have a report about Point Lookout Prison and the removal of "vols." to Ft. Rice, D.T. It is 34 pages long.
I will email to anyone interested in reading. It is very interesting, but it is not about Ezekiel specifically.
