Mary,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. Your information is very helpful. I feel pretty confident, based on your information, that my Rebecca (Rebeckah?) is a descendant of the John Peter Corn/Adam Corn - Hannah Heatherly line. One reason is that in searching for Adam Corn on the web I pulled up the website for the Sugarfork Baptist Church in Macon County (Franklin), North Carolina. Their church history shows Adam Corn as one of the presbytery founding the church in Aug, 1836--only two years before the marriage of Rebeckah Corn to Levi Frady in the same Macon Co.

I will definitely contact Gary as you suggest. Perhaps he can help me confirm Rebeckah's connection to Adam and Hannah.

I read a lot of criticism about the "Preachers" book (can't remember the full name) and some of your postings seem to agree that it has errors. Do you know of any better published books or sources that you would recommend?

I have not yet gotten into databases. That may have to wait for retirement. But I do have an MS WORD file that I have started centered around my line to Rebeckah Corn (not complete to the current generation and lots of dates missing--a work in progress). But I would be glad to send this to you through direct E-mail contact if you would like.

Rebeckah is buried in Corinth Baptist Church cemetary in Lumpkin County, GA, and I understand that some unknown person has recently put up new gravemarkers for her, Levi Frady, and others in their line. I hope that someone of my distant cousins in the Lumpkin area may soon be able to help me with more dates and details from these gravemarkers.

Again, thank you for your help.

Janice Nolin
