I agree right now on the folklore theory. I haven't found Matthew in a printed book yet but am still looking. I think (and this will cause a commotion) that a family genealogist way back in John Peters line went by heresay. It happens to all of us. I am still searching for him though. The inventory bothers me with John Adam Corn, but could it mean he was in debt? Have found George and John Peter selling land Albemarle Co 1772 and 1775.
