I saw your posting on the bulletin board. I too am looking for information on the Cormier name. I noticed the name Genevieve Cormier twice while I was searching through information on the web at gendaemon@genserv.com . The first listing was Genevieve Cormier March 16, 1873 to July 1950, married to Joseph Bourque. The second listing for Genevieve Cormier was April 17 1843 (no further information provided).

Perhaps the above info can be of use to you.

Conversly if you come across information on Robert Cormier (approx birthdate 1610 died 1712 in Port Royal) came to Canada 1644 from La Rochelle France to St Pierre, Cap Breton. Married Marie Peraud 1635, they had two children.

My father and I are going to France October 16 and would like to research the family tree further.
