Larry

I have been reading your tread with great interest and I would like to find out the source of the information for Abraham?

Is the spelling of "Mormandy" the province of France accurate since in the maps I have such a province did not exist but "Normandie" did??

By the way I am a Cormier in Canada researching my ancesters. Based on the considerable research done by the University of Moncton NewBrunswich The Robert you have sited in the previous message would indeed be the first and only Cormier from which all Cormier's in the U.S. and Canada descend.
If you are interested consult this link
http://www.umoncton.ca/etudeacadiennes/centre/genea.html
The info is in french but has considerable information on a number of Acadian Families including the Cormiers.

I would also like to know where you are from.
Fernand Cormier (Ottawa, Canada)
