The cost is $29 for a copy of the application. You need to request a copy of the SS-5, Application for Social Security Card, and list the name, birth date, death date, and SSN of the person you are looking for. It takes a few weeks to get the application back.

Sorry to duplicate your info. I did look in Father Hebert's SW LA records to see if Enias's birth was listed, but I didn't find any Cormiers born on 31 Jul. There was an Ignace Cormier born 13 Jul 1899, but that was the closest.
