Fabien Cormier/Emilie Langlais, Maine.
Posted by: Mike Smith (ID *****5504) Date: April 28, 2005 at 10:55:27
  of 1606

I am seeking info on Fabien Cormier's parents, siblings, place and date of birth, marriage date, etc.

Here is what I do know about him. B. abt. 1812 in Maine, probably in Aroostook county. He married Emilie Langlais in 18??.

Emilie Langlais, b: abt. 1827 in Maine.

Her parents, siblings, and general vital stats, etc., are unknown to me. If, by any chance, anyone has any info on her, I would be grateful if that could be posted as well.

They had 11 children: (All were born in Van Buren, Aroostook co, Maine.)
Denise, b. 26-Dec-1847
Jean-Baptiste, b. 30-Mar-1849
Maxime, b. 21-Nov-1850
Francois Xavier, b. 16-Jul-1852
Severin, b. 26-Nov-1853
Helene or Eleonore or Leonore, b. 30-Apr-1855*
Elizabeth, b. 21-Aug-1857
Anselme or Samuel, b. 21-Apr-1860**
Thais, b. 13-Jan-1862
Denis Edmond, b. 14-Mar-1866
Priscilla, b. 16-Oct-1867

* The birth record index has her listed as "Helene or Eleonore" The 1860 US census (taken in Van Buren, Areoostook Co., Maine) has her name shown as "Leonore".

** The birth record index of St. Bruno's Parish, Van Buren, has him listed as "Anselme". The 1960 and 1880 US censuses (also taken in Van Buren) has him listed as "Samuel". It is definitely the same person because the 1860 census was taken on June 19, where his age was given as "2/12", or April, 1860, which matches with the date of birth (21-Apr-1860) given in the parish birth record.

The children's births were recorded in the birth register of St. Bruno's Parish in Van Buren, an index of which is available on LDS film no: 0012275.
