My husband descends from Laura Josephine Cormack b. 27 Apr 1867 in Sebastion County, Arkansas. She married William James Wilson. Her mother according to the census was Elizabeth Tulk b. 1 Aug 1830 in Washington Co.,Arkansas. I was told that Laura Josie's father was David Lilley Cormack (Carmack)( I've seen it both ways), but I've found a date of death for him of June of 1864 making it impossible for him to have fathered Laura Josephine. Does anyone have information to confirm either David's date of death or Laura's parentage? Any information about this family would be appreciated.
