Ran across an interesting tidbit on the Library of Congress' American Memory site.
A 1962 Historic American Buildings Survey of the George H. Corliss House in Providence, Rhode Island, lists Charles W. Brackett as a grandson! of George H. Corliss.
Go to http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/mdbquery.html and search on Corliss. Should be Item 4. There are links to photos and to 6 'data pages'. Charles Brackett is mentioned, as the person the house is taxed to, on page 3. Charles, "of Hollywood, California", is also mentioned on page 2 as having a life tenancy, Brown University being the owner. The 'Corliss-Brackett House' now houses the University's Admissions Office.
