Hi Bill, Your information looks great. However, I have reason to believe that there are a few inaccuracies. Valentine Columbus Corley married to Annie Worsham were the biological parents of Benjamin Alexander Corley. I talked to Gennie Waters (Dorotha Genevive Corley, baby daughter of Ben and Betty) a few minutes ago. She confirmed that her grandfathr Valentine Columbus Corley was dragged to death by his plow horse while plowing when Ben was 7-9 years old. That would be approximately between the years of 1890-1895. Is it possible that Valentine Columbus was a twin? No, I don't think so. I have a document that list him and his siblings. Maybe a cousin that was born in the same year and given the same name. Valentine Columbus Corley's grandfather's name was also Valentine. So it is possible that Drayton Valentine Corley could be a cousin. The decendants did move to Bibb County GA. The information on Ben Burnice Corley, Athens, Tx, family is not the Ben Burnice of Ben and Betty. Ben Burnice of Ben and Betty was married to Thelma Blocker and they had four children. Shirley Ann, George Bennie, Carlton Clay, and John Wesley. All are deceased. Martha E. (Grissom) Darden was Valentine Columbus Corley's second wife. Sincerely, Cindy Corley Notify Administrator about this message?
