Hi Margaret!I believe your Hester may be the daughter of William (d. 1841) and, possibly, Frances Corlew. William seems to have been the father of all of the Tenn. Corlews. He settled in Montgomery County sometime before his first son Benjamin was born on Jan. 26th, 1802.His other children were John, William, Thomas W., Hester, Mary Jane, Frances, and poss. about 3 more daughters.William, in turn, was the son of John (prob. born early 1720's, Virginia, d. 1885) and Hannah Corlew of Halifax County, North Carolina.John was the son of Edward Corlew (d. about 1731) and Katherine Curtis of York County, Virginia.I got all of this info from a limited edition Corlew Family Genealogy Book by William (Larry) and Viola (Vi) Corlew. They've done quite a bit of research on the Corlews. They believe that all of the Corlews are related.I don't know if any more copies of their book are available, but we should be able to at least copy off the relevant info for you.
