Dear Terry:
I received your message RE: Jesse Corless (c. 1775 - c. 1816), and I have a copy of the book "A Family Study: Descendants of Corless and Brooks" by Lee and Mae Corless.
Is the book you are referring to?
As you indicated, it has no reference to the parents of Jesse Corless.
I am descended from Jesse Patten, and his father, Charles Patten, who married Mary Jane Corless, daughter of Jesse Corless and Hannah Wilson. This Jesse was the son of Jesse Corless and Polly Chase.
I am still looking for parents of the last two.
I got a copy of the book from the Aylmer Public Library, in Ontario, and made a copy of the entire book.
I have also corresponded with the authors of the book: Mae, the last I knew, was in a nursing home, and Lee was living with a son or daughter, and all of the records are in storage somewhere.
Thanks, anyway, for the information.
Donna Marrs
